STEEL...STILL THE REAL DEAL!!!!

Matt just picked up his new steel stead, a custom Waterford R-33. It is a 64cm frame built from True Temper S3 tubing. This allows a steel bike to be built as light as many carbon frames out there. Parts include SRAM Red group, Reynolds Ouzo Pro fork, and Thomson stem and post with Fizik Arione saddle. Wheels are hand built using Phil Wood hubs laced to Mavic Open Pro rims. What a nice ride!!!

WOW!!
Super Nice Bike...I'd like to see that one in person!

The only way that bike could be better is if it was mine!!

BTW...I think the seatpost is backwards...look at the clamp...it looks like the bosses on the clamp are machined differently to compensate for the seat tube angle...

The Dura ace crank is only because currently SRAM does not make the Red crankset in 180mm eventhough the website said they did.

As far as the post goes, this is my uncle's bike and he built it so it could very well be backwards. Thanks JB

damnit! nobody will come clean and just say that sram is a great group sans the crank...JUST SAY IT! SRAM CRANKS SUCK!

No, really it was because you cannot get the Red crankset in a 180mm yet, he wanted the Red. The Red is by far my favorite crank out there right now. They may have had issues in the past with other models but the Red crank is "Da Bomb"!!
